In simple terms, a thermostat is a device that is used to regulate the temperature of a system within a certain range. To achieve this, it controls the flow of heat energy in or out of that system directly or indirectly.
- Fridge Thermostat
A common fridge thermostat used for maintaining the internal temperature of the fridge is the one similar to the one used in a room air conditioner. The monitor of such a Thermostat goes into a wall outlet and the refrigerator is plugged into the monitor with the sensing probe of the monitor inside the fridge.
